AMERICAN DANCE MASTER TEACHER PROGRAM

To be eligible to apply for admission to the American Dance Master Teacher undergraduate degree program, an applicant must have a minimum ACT of 21 or a minimum SAT composite score (math and verbal from one sitting) of 1000. College transfer students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a minimum of 26 semester credit hours in completed academic courses if an acceptable ACT or SAT score is not available. Acceptable scores are required to proceed with the application process.

The process consists of:

  • Completing this initial application
  • Completing a questionnaire that will be sent to you
  • Providing evaluations from references on our forms
  • Providing a 500 word essay on your goals and how the American Dance Master Teacher undergraduate degree program can help you achieve them
  • Providing an audition video according to our guidelines if you are a high school senior or a recent high school graduate with less than four (4) years of experience as a dance teacher (not counting teaching before age 18) or four (4) years of continuous employment as a professional daner
  • Completing an interview with our faculty admissions committee on campus (preferred) or by phone (possible, but not preferred)
