LT. GOVERNOR MARY FALLIN TO KICK OFF OKLAHOMA CITY UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW'S 2004-05 STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT LECTURE SERIES
“The Growth of Two Party Government in Oklahoma” is the title of the lecture Lt. Governor Mary Fallin will present at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 15. Fallin is the state's first woman and first Republican Lieutenant Governor, and is on her third term in office. Fallin speech is free and open to the public, the lecture will be held in the Homsey Family Moot Courtroom, Sarkeys Law Center, on the Oklahoma City University campus. A question and answer session will immediately follow.
The State and Local Government Lecture Series is a function of OCU LAW’s Center for the Study of State Constitutional Law and Government, under the leadership of its director and OCU LAW professor Andrew Spiropoulos. The Center is dedicated to the improvement of state constitutions and state governance. By sponsoring workshops, analytical writing, and public lectures, the Center takes advantage of its location in the heart of a state capital city to promote scholarship and discussion on important issues relating to state government. “We are proud to host our second annual series of lectures on state and local government.We are fortunate that our proximity to both the center of state government and innovative local governments enables us to bring outstanding speakers to campus for the benefit of our university and the community,” said Professor Spiropoulos.

- January 13 – Wes Lane, Oklahoma County District Attorney
- February 9 – David Fleischaker, Secretary of Energy, State of Oklahoma
