Mrs.
Scott was born in 1926 in
Pampa, TX. She began her piano study at age 6 and has been continuously
involved in formal and/or self-education since then. Formal training
highlights: BM in piano performance OCU 1950, student of Dean Clarence
Burg. Graduate study with Sandor Vas at the Eastman School of Music,
University of Rochester, Summer sessions 1952-1956. Continuing
self-education by attending University of Maryland Master Classes, summer
sessions during period 1971-1996. Professional teaching experience: Mrs.
Scott has been on the piano faculty at OCU since 1956, teaching piano
performance majors (including candidates for the MM Degree) and the Piano
Ensemble Class. A number of her former students now hold key positions in
major U.S. universities. Professional performance experience indludes
Chamber Music concerts in conjunction with members of the OKC Symphony
Orchestra during the 1960's.
