From the Oklahoma City University School of Law Student Handbook 2007-2008: Rules about using rooms for meetings or events: Rooms in Sarkeys are not available for use during any OCU Law final exam period, or on any recognized holiday on which classes are not in session (e.g., Yom Kippur). Rooms for the fall term may be reserved 10 business days after the start of the fall term. Rooms may be reserved for the spring academic term once the final class schedule for the spring term has been finalized by the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs (will vary from term to term). Please confirm at the time of your reservation any tables or chairs that you might need. Rooms must be cleaned up after meetings or events have concluded or your room reservation privileges may be revoked. Any large portions of trash should be taken to the student lounge for disposal. A maximum of four student organization meetings may be held at any given time on any given day. If a fifth organization wants to also meet on a particular evening, a representative of that organization must meet with Dean Fathree to discuss options. Also, please do not request to reserve a room on Thursdays between 1:00 and 2:00 pm as it conflicts with the university's chapel service. If a guest speaker is coming to your meeting/event, a request for a reservation of a parking space must be made at least 48 hours in advance of the meeting/event. Reserving a Table; Lower Level of Sarkeys There are two tables on the lower level of Sarkeys that may be reserved by student organizations (under the stairs). To use a table, your organization must reserve the table in advance using Virtual EMS. Organizations are not allowed to use the tables without reserving them as described. Tables in Sarkeys are not available for use during any final exam period. Tables may be reserved for the fall term 10 business days after the start of the fall term. Tables may be reserved for the spring term once the final class schedule for the spring term has been finalized by the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs (will vary from term to term). |
