The Division of Academic Affairs encompasses all schools and colleges of Oklahoma City University and several academic support offices including the Registrar’s Office, the Office of International Education, the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment, and the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
The Office of the Provost oversees the work of all of these entities and is led by by Dr. Susan C. Barber, provost and professor of biology, and by Dr. Kent Buchanan, assistant provost and professor of biology. The Academic Affairs staff is available to assist students, parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and other constituents in all issues associated with academics.
At Oklahoma City University, all of our undergraduate students receive an education that is enriched by our liberal arts curriculum. All students are taught by members of our exceptional faculty—not graduate assistants—in small classes designed to ignite and expand each student’s love of learning.
As chief academic officer, Dr. Barber champions academic excellence across campus to maintain and enhance the value of an Oklahoma City University education. Academic programs at Oklahoma City University continue to make great strides under her leadership.
