If you are requesting transcripts for coursework completed after 1986, you may submit your request either electronically, by using the login to your student account, or you may submit your request by mail or fax.
Students requesting transcripts with all coursework prior to 1986 may submit a Transcript Request Form or provide as much of the following information as possible in a written letter (missing information may delay the processing of your request):
We do not charge for individual transcripts, however, there will be a limit of five transcripts per day issued to a student. An exception may be made when the student provides individual addresses for transcripts to be sent directly to other institutions. If a student requests more than twenty transcripts per month to be sent to a person and/or institution, there will be a $6.00 charge for each additional transcript. Any special handling, such as a U.P.S. charge, will have to be prepaid.
Transcripts are not processed if the student has an outstanding financial obligation. Students should call Student Account Services at (405) 208-5146 or go to the Student Account Services window, 3rd floor, Clara E. Jones Administration Building, to check on their financial status.

You may fax your request to (405) 208-6047. Please be sure to sign your faxed request and call the office at (405) 208-5298 to verify that the fax was received. We do not fax or e-mail transcripts.
Students are required to show photo identification when picking up their transcript. If a transcript is to be released to a third party, written authorization from the student is required. Parents may obtain their student's transcript with written authorization signed by the student or a with a signed affidavit stating that the student is their financial dependent according to IRS regulations.
Official Transcripts From Other Institutions
Oklahoma City University requires all students to submit official transcripts, such as high school transcripts, undergraduate transcripts with or without a degree, or graduate transcripts. These transcripts must be official. Official transcripts are defined as transcripts sent directly from one institution to Oklahoma City University. Electronic transcripts will be accepted from schools using approved secured transmission systems. The current list of approved systems are as follows:

Any transcript marked “Issued to Student” and/or hand-carried transcripts are not considered official and will not be accepted for transfer purposes.

The outlined courses are currently being accepted as transfer credit from the institutions listed. If you have credits from an institution that is not included or for courses not listed, you should contact your advisor and/or admissions counselor to determine potential equivalencies. Courses may be added or removed at the discretion of University officials.

To apply for graduation you will need to pick up your Application for Graduation from the Registrar's Office. You then need to make an appointment to meet with your advisor so that a final degree check can be processed. After completing the final degree check your advisor will sign your application for graduation. Return the application for graduation to the Registrar's Office. It takes approximately six to eight weeks for a diploma order to be processed and returned to the Registrar's Office from the Herff Jones Company, Iola, Kan. Deadlines for applying for graduation are published in the Academic Calendar.
