Special Services & Programs

International Admissions provides services for international students in the following areas: admissions, immigration advising, and other administrative services. International Admissions is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm Central Time.

Admissions
Admissions officers in International Admissions evaluate international student applications for admission and transfer credit (undergraduates). Once a student has been accepted to a degree program, International Admissions issues admission documents (an admission letter and I-20 form).

Immigration Advising
International Admissions staff provide information and advising to international students on U.S. Immigration and Naturalization regulations. International Admissions also assists with processing of immigration forms, such as applications for change of status, work permits, and practical training.

Other Administrative Services
International Admissions will provide additional documents for students such as Good Standing Letters, verification of tuition and fees, and letters of invitation for visiting family members. International Admissions has a Notary Public on staff.

International Friends Program
This program provides opportunities for international students to form friendships with Oklahoma families. Students share holidays and participate in activities and community events with their hosts. It is an excellent way to learn about American culture, meet new friends, and improve English communication skills. Click Here to download flyer.

ELS Language Center
America’s leading provider of English language instruction, ELS, has a center on the OCU campus. ELS offers courses in 12 different levels. Students may fulfill the university English requirement by completing ELS Level 112. Students taking levels 110, 111 and 112 may enroll concurrently in OCU courses during the fall or spring semesters. For more information visit http://www.els.edu/oklahomacity.

Multicultural Student Association
With the diversity of students from more than 50 countries, OCU is committed to providing a great experience to all students. The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs promotes understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity and fosters positive human relations for all students, faculty and staff while paying particular attention to the needs of student populations. The association also actively organizes many different events and activities throughout the year to encourage interaction among domestic and international students.

International Student Information Session
At the start of each semester, students will have the opportunity to learn about the university through an International Student Information Session. Topics covered may include student health insurance, cultural issues, academic success, immigration issues, how to get involved in campus activities, and campus safety.
