The Next Step: Admitted Transfer Students Checklist

  • Fall/Winter: Visit campus. Take a tour of the campus, see a dorm room, sit in on a class in your intended major, meet with a professor, eat lunch in the Cafe, and have all your questions answered about Oklahoma City University! To schedule a campus visit, contact our Visitor Services Office.



  • Fall/Winter/Spring: Sign and return your Acceptance Agreement for your Merit Scholarship Award.



  • After January 1: Complete and return the 2008-09 Financial Aid Data Form and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Oklahoma City University's school code is 003166. Priority is given to applicants who submit the completed FAFSA to Oklahoma City University by February 15. If other documents are requested by the Office of Financial Aid, they should be submitted within two weeks of request to maintain priority status. If you have questions or would like help completing the FAFSA, contact our Financial Aid Office.



  • Spring: Complete and return your financial aid award letter to the Financial Aid Office. Deadline is May 15.



  • Spring: Students may attend STARS 101 to pre-enroll for fall classes. (Attendance is encouraged, but not required.)



  • Spring/Summer: Complete and return the Housing Application & Questionnaire along with a $250 Housing Deposit. Deadline is June 15. If you have completed 1 year of college, you are eligible to live in University Manor or Cokesbury Court, our on-campus apartments. Please call 405-208-5449 for more information about University Manor, and 405-208-8100 or visit www.campushousing.com/ocu for details about Cokesbury Court. Planning on living at home with a parent or guardian? If so, your parent or guardian must submit a letter to the Director of Housing stating your intentions to live at home.   • Spring/Summer: Obtain immunizations required for enrolling.



  • Spring/Summer: Submit your final official transcripts showing grades for all completed college coursework. Please have official transcripts sent to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, 2501 N. Blackwelder Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73106.


  • Spring/Summer: Schedule your academic advising and enrollment appointment. Please call 405-208-5050 for assistance.



  • Spring/Summer: Finalize your enrollment to ensure your class schedule. (If you were not able to finalize your enrollment at your advising appointment, please visit this site.)



  • Spring/Summer: Purchase your parking pass in the police office located on the 3rd floor of the Clara Jones Administration building. Please be sure to bring your car tag number with you.



  • Spring/Summer: Visit the Cashier's Office to have your student ID made. The office is located on the 3rd floor of the Clara Jones Administration Building. (You must be enrolled in classes and have finalized your enrollment prior to making your ID.)



  • August: Get ready to begin your college career at Oklahoma City University! New Student Orientation begins August 17th .
