Most of our merit scholar students have two Oklahoma City University counselors to help make the transition from high school to college as seamless as possible.

National Merit Finalists

Merit Scholar Benefits

  • Oklahoma City University offers a four-year, full-tuition scholarship for students named National Merit Finalists. The scholarship is renewable for four years by maintaining a minimum 3.0 grade point average.
  • Application and program advisement from Star Scholar Counselor


Important Deadlines

In order to receive your scholarship, please adhere to the deadlines listed below:

December 1, 2015:

  • Notify the National Merit Scholarship Corporation of your plans to enroll at Oklahoma City University.

May 1, 2016:

  • Complete and submit the Oklahoma City University National Merit Intent to Study Form.
  • Submit National Merit Finalist Letter from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions
  • Sent a copy of your National Merit Achievement Finalist letter from the National Achievement Scholarship Program.
