Freshmen University Academic Merit Scholarships

Description:
Academic scholarships are based on ACT/SAT test scores (excluding writing portion) and high academic ability as indicated by grade point average. To receive any Oklahoma City University merit based scholarships, incoming Fall 2015 freshmen students must submit their application and all required documents* by the priority deadline of March 1, 2015. After the priority deadline scholarship amounts are not guaranteed. Full-time enrollment of 12 or more hours per semester is required for scholarship. Awards are renewable up to seven consecutive semesters (excluding summer terms) with required minimum cumulative 3.0 unweighted GPA.

Freshmen Departmental Awards*

In addition, students who are admitted to and enrolled in the Petree College of Arts and Science (excluding Art and Moving Image Arts), Meinders School of Business, or the Kramer School of Nursing will be awarded a departmental scholarship in conjunction with the academic merit scholarship. This award is based on a combination of the student ACT or SAT (excluding writing portion) and High School GPA. Full-time enrollment of 12 or more hours per semester is required for scholarship.

NON-MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS/Special Package Pricing 

TESOL students have the option to make a one-time payment of $21,000 which will include all tuition and all fees for the 36-credit hour program.  Students must be fully admitted to the TESOL program to qualify.

Transfer - 2015-2016 Academic Scholarships

Based on cumulative college GPA, renewable for a maximum of five consecutive semesters. Full-time enrollment of 12 or more hours per semester is required for scholarship. RN to BSN Nursing Students are not eligible for academic scholarships.

Transfer - 2015-2016 Departmental Scholarships

(administered by Student Financial Services)

Based on cumulative college GPA, renewable for a maximum of five consecutive semesters. These scholarships are for students with majors within Kramer School of Nursing (excluding RN to BSN students), Meinders School of Business and Petree College of Arts & Sciences (excluding Art and Moving Image Arts). Full-time enrollment of 12 or more hours per semester is required for scholarship.

*Talent Scholarships may be combined with academic scholarships; however, talent scholarships are not stackable with Departmental Awards.

Freshmen International Student Academic and English Proficiency Achievement Awards*

Freshman International Students with a minimum High School GPA of 3.0 and TOEFL (IBT) of at least 80 or IELTS 6.0 are eligible for these scholarships which may be awarded together.  They may not be combined with any other academic scholarships.
