Living the Good Life
Now that your son/daughter has been admitted to Oklahoma City University, it is important to start planning for their living arrangements. The University is proud of the fact that it is a residential campus. Students who attend OCU are required to live on campus until they are twenty-one years of age. This also means that we guarantee housing for your student.
OCU offers a variety of housing options. Residential halls are both co-ed and same gender facilities, depending on the student's preference.
Amenities include high-speed internet access, laundry, big screen televisions, microwaves, and games like pool and table tennis. Students can also rent micro-fridges for their room. Click here for more information on OCU housing. For information on housing rates, click here.
For questions, contact University Housing at (405) 208-6363 or email Ade Okediji, Director of Housing and Residence Life.
When to Apply for Housing & Roommates
Students are encouraged to apply for housing as soon as they decide to make OCU their university home. Housing assignments will be given out at STARS 101. Housing applications must be accompanied by a $200 housing processing fee. After the final STARS 101 in June, housing will open to new students unable to attend STARS 101.
Students will fill out a questionnaire about their living style and preferences when applying for housing. The residence life staff will pair students together who will be well-matched for the academic year. If your son/daughter already has a roommate in mind, make sure they request each other on their housing applications.
