Merit-Based Scholarship

At Oklahoma City University, we appreciate the importance of a quality, affordable education. In fact, more than 90 percent of OCU students receive some type of scholarships and/or financial aid. Merit scholarships are based on ACT/SAT scores (excluding writing portion) and high academic ability as indicated by grade point average. To receive any Oklahoma City University merit based scholarships, incoming Fall 2015 freshmen students must submit their application and all required documents* by the priority deadline of March 1, 2015. After the priority deadline, scholarship amounts are not guaranteed. Full-time enrollment of 12 or more hours per semester is required for scholarship. Awards are renewable up to seven consecutive semesters (excluding summer terms) with required minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.

As such, OCU attracts students from across the country and around the world for a unique opportunity to study, perform and compete at an extraordinarily high level. These departments offer talent-based scholarships after the audition or portfolio review.

Performing arts students are required to audition for a space in their respective programs. For information regarding auditions, please explore the following links: dance, theatre, music.
