First-Time Freshmen
Submit the following to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions:
- The OCU Application for Admission. You can complete the form and mail it to us [download pdf] or apply online by selecting the 2009 Online Application. See instructions below.
- A $30 non-refundable application fee.
- An official copy of your high school transcript. If you do not have a high school diploma or are homeschooled, call the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at (800) 633-7242 for information on how to apply.
- An official copy of your ACT or SAT score report, which may be included on your high school transcript.
- The essay portion of the Application for Admission. Use the essay as your opportunity to tell us more about yourself! Application instructions include suggested essay topics, but please feel free to write your essay about anything you believe will help our admissions committee determine a good fit between you and Oklahoma City University.
- Submit a completed High School Counselor Recommendation Form.

International Students
All non-U.S. citizens applying for any program (undergraduate, transfer or graduate) must use the
international application to apply for admission to the university.
Transfer Students
If you'd like to transfer to Oklahoma City University from another college or university, you must have a 2.0 grade point average from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning and be in good standing with the institution you last attended.
If you meet these criteria, submit:
- The OCU Application for Admission. You can complete the form and mail it to us [download pdf] or apply online.
- Official college transcript from each institution attended.
- Official high school transcript if you've earned less than 29 hours of college credit.
- Fill out the Dean of Students Recommendation Form.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLYING ONLINE
Oklahoma City University's secure system takes the hassle out of applying for admission. You can complete the form over multiple sessions, submit the form, pay your admission fee, and check the status of your application--all online!
Here's what you need to do:
- Create your application account if you're a U.S. citizen and applying for admission to Oklahoma City University's undergraduate or graduate programs. Once your account is set up, you can use it to edit your information as well as submit your application to the Office of Admissions. International students must use the international student application for admission.
- Fill out your application.
- Make corrections to your data as necessary. The system will let you know if you've made a mistake.
- Save/pay/send in your application. You'll see this feature at the bottom of the last page of the application.
- Pay your application fee.
- Check your activity log to print a copy of your application or to find out if Oklahoma City University has received it. Make note of your username and password...you'll need them to get into the secure system.
