The Meinders School of Business will host it’s second Corporate Directors Institute on April 30, 2009. CDI II will once again offer an elite group of the leading corporate directors and governance professionals to share their ideas and perspectives regarding many of the most critical topics facing corporate, not for profit and government organizations boards.

The turbulence in the market is stress-testing the value of our business practices and exacerbated the need to address pressing issues on corporate board governance. Our speakers for the April 30, 2009 Corporate Directors Institute are comprised of 15 of the most well-know and respected governance gurus and leaders in their professions and industries. Their comments and wisdom reflect the depth of the expertise, knowledge and experience that built their illustrious careers and businesses. This one day conference is designed to give officers and directors of both public and private companies and organizations some of the best information they may need to weather the sea of changes that may be coming to the market place.

This conference is ISS-accredited. In addition, it qualifies for 10 CLE credits.

      Dr. Jack Albertine is Director of Intersections, Inc.(NASDAQ:INTX). He is CEO of Albertine Enterprises Inc.

      Mark Borges is Principal of Compensia. MR. Borges was Special Counsel to the Office of Rule Making, SEC Division of Corporate Finance. He is one of the foremost authorities on disclosure and executive pay issues.

      Timothy Burns is Partner at Perkins & Coie. He is Managing Editor of Coverage, a journal on insurance coverage and Co-chair of American Bar Asosciation’s Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee.

      Dr. Reatha Clark King serves on the boards of ExxonMobil and Lenox Group and is Former President and Chairman of the Board of General Mills Foundation. She was the 2004 NACD Director of the Year.

      Garland Cupp is the Former Chairman of the Board of BMC Software, a Fortune 500 company. He was EVP of TRS Technologies and CIO at American Express Corporation.

      Everett Dobson was founder and CEO of Dobson Communications Corporation before its sale to AT&T. He is currently Chairman of the Board of DWL Holding Company.

      Irving Faught is the Executive Administrator of the Oklahoma Securities Commission

      Holly J. Gregory is Partner on Corporate Governance at Weil, Gotshal & Manges. She has served as counsel to the World Bank, the OECD, and a long list of Fortune 500 companies on a full range of corporate governance issues.

      Jennifer Grigsby is Corporate Secretary and Senior Vice President of Chesapeake Energy(CHK:NYSE), a fortune 500 company.

      Pamela Harper is President of Business Advancement, Inc. Pamela is also author and consults on preventing strategic gridlock and other performance issues.

      Gray Holden is Senior Vice President of CFR. CFR is an Oklahoma-based risk management company.

      Priya Cherian Huskin is Partner at Woodruff-Sawyer and serves on the board of Realty Income Corp.(NYSE:O). She was elected in 2007 by Business Insurance as the industry’s “Woman to Watch”.

      Deborah Lifeshey is Managing Director at Pearl Meyer & Partners. She is noted and regularly quoted for her extensive works on executive compensation and is also an expert in taxation and disclosure issues.

      Tom McDaniel is President of Oklahoma City University. He served as Senior legal counsel and Vice-Chairman of the Board for Kerr-McGee Corporation.

      Patrick McGurn provides special counsel to Riskmetrics Group's ISS Governance Services Unit.

      Kathleen A O’Neil is President and CEO of Liberty Street Advisors, LLC. She also serves on the board of BMC Software, MetLife Bank, and Guidance Software.

      Dr. Vincent F. Orza is Dean of the Meinders School of Business, Oklahoma City University. He serves on the boards of various civic organizations. He was Chairman & CEO of Eateries Inc, a NASDAQ company.

      Alice M. Peterson is President and founder of Syrus Global. She serves on the board of Williams Partners, Hannesbrand Inc. and RIM Finance.

      Shepherd Pryor IV is Director of Taylor Capital Group (NASD:TAYC) and Managing Director of Team Work Technologies and has served numerous other public corporate boards in varied capacities.

      Dr. Socorro Quintero serves a Director on the board of Tiens Biotech Group (AMEX: TBV) and is its Audit Committee Chairperson. She is a Finance Professor at the Meinders School of Business.

      John Richels is President and serves on the board of Devon Energy (DVN: NYSE), ranked one of most admired companies in America. He was Executive VP and CFO of Northstar Energy Corp. and Vice-Chairman of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers.

      Roger Stong is President of Crowe & Dunlevy, one of Oklahoma’s largest law firms. He is Chair of its Business Department and Corporate Securities Section.

      Maryann A . Waryjas is Partner at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP and focuses in private equity transactions, corporate governance and crisis management. She is an Advisory Board Member of the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals (Chicago).

      Kenneth W. Wimberly is Vice President and Corporate Secretary of AMR Corporation/American Airlines Inc.
