OCU Meinders School of Business Introduces Petroleum Land Management Program

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University’s Meinders School of Business is offering a new certificate program for those involved with petroleum land activities including landmen, lease and title analysts and attorneys. The Professional Land Management Program is part of a partnership with Petroleum Education Workshops.

“This program will make Oklahoma City University one of the premier educational institutions for those interested in careers or wishing to enhance their careers in petroleum land management,” said Meinders School of Business Dean Vince Orza. “Each class provides exceptional, job-oriented training designed to broaden the job skills and increase the knowledge of everyone who attends.”

The program includes six courses designed to give graduates the skills necessary to augment their careers in land management. Courses can be used for continuing education credits for the American Association of Professional Landmen recertification. Meinders School of Business professors and industry professionals will teach the courses including Introduction to Petroleum Land Management, Property and Mineral Ownership for Petroleum Land Management, Basic Contracts and Agreements Used in petroleum Land Management, Petroleum Land Management Practices and Calculating Oil and Gas Interests.
