D2L Tutorials

The following are the most commonly requested and viewed faculty D2L tutorials. The topics range from D2L basics to using some of the most commonly used tools. If you don't see what you need, you can visit the YouTube playlist listed below or schedule a consultation with Amanda.

Basic D2L Navigation

This video will introduce you to D2L, and show you where the main components are located within the system.

Copying Content from Course to Course

This video will show you how to move content from one course to another. You would follow these steps, for example, when copying course content from an old semester to a new course shell.

Changing Course Start and End Dates

At OKCU, faculty have the ability to change the dates that their course opens and closes, or remove the dates altogether, leaving their courses open indefinitely. This video shows you how to do this. 

Deactivating a D2L Course Shell

Sometimes extra or redundant course shells carry over into D2L from the Banner system. This video shows you how to deactivate those shells so that they do not show up on your students' My Courses list.

D2L Content Basics

This video will introduce you to the Content area of D2L. You will learn about the Overview Page, Document Viewers, In-content course tool creation, and drag and drop functionality. 

Grading D2L Discussion Boards

Grading discussion boards can be a daunting task. This video shows you how to accomplish it with relative ease.

Using the D2L Attendance Tool

In D2L, the Attendance Tool can be used to track student attendance in Face-to-Face classes. This video shows you how to set up and customize this tool.
