The Department of Chemistry offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry as well as a Chemistry minor.  Both majors provide strong academic preparation for those interested in chemistry or pursuing advanced study in science and medicine.  The minor is strongly suggested for students of other majors who are interested in the medical professions. 

A Chemistry or Biochemistry degree can launch your career in science or medicine or something less traditional.  Our graduates have a long history of admission to medical and Ph.D. programs.  Those interested in immediate employment can find positions in health research, environmental monitoring and compliance, or in small business.
