Diana Brooks is an Assistant Professor of Dance and holds a Bachelors of Performing Arts from Oklahoma City University. She teaches on the Tap, Jazz and Theatre Dance faculty and choreographs for the American Spirit Dance company.
She spent most of her performing and teaching career in Chicago, IL, where she danced in companies such as Rhythm ISS…, BAM!, and M.A.D.D. Rhythms. She has had the opportunity to travel around the US with these tap companies, sharing the stage with such performers as Savion Glover, Tommy Tune, Lane Alexander and many many more. As well as performing with tap companies, she also danced in several Musical Theatre productions and industrials, including Singin’ in the Rain, Babes in Toyland, the alternative hair show and a 1920s dance revue at the Black Orchid in Chicago.
She has taught at many of the professional studios in the Chicagoland area, Lou Contes, Giordanos and Joel Hall Dance. She has also traveled and taught master classes all over the US with many dance conventions and studios.
