DIANA BROOKS Associate Professor of Dance at Oklahoma City University holds a Bachelor of Performing Arts in Dance Performance from Oklahoma City University. She teaches on the tap, jazz and rhythm tap faculty and also choreographs for The American Spirit Dance Company. She spent most of her performing and teaching career in Chicago, Illinois , where she danced in companies such as Rhythm ISS…, BAM! and M.A.D.D. Rhythms. She has traveled throughout the United States with these tap companies, sharing the stage with such performers as Savion Glover, Tommy Tune, Lane Alexander and many more. As well as performing with tap companies, she danced in musical theatre productions and industrials, including Singin’ in the Rain, Babes in Toyland, the Alternative Hair Show and a 1920s dance revue at the Black Orchid Supper Club. She has taught in the Chicago area, including Lou Contes Dance Studio, Giordano’s Jazz Dance Center and Joel Hall Dancers & Center. She teaches master workshops all over the US and has also been a guest judge and teacher for dance conventions.
