Fall High School Dance Workshop, September 16, 2017 9am - 5:30pm

Spring High School Dance Workshop (with Streamline Audition), January 27, 2018, 9am - 5:30pm

  • Only $30 for an entire day of dance classes with Oklahoma City University’s nationally-recognized faculty.
  • For High School Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors.
  • Parents and Teachers of students are welcome to observe the workshop experience.

10:30 - 11:15am Jazz Technique 

11:15 - 11:45am Dancer’s Health 

11:45am - 1:00pm LUNCH BREAK* 

1:00 - 2:30pm Ballet Technique 

2:30 - 2:40pm BREAK 

2:40 - 3:40pm Tap Technique

3:40 - 3:45pm BREAK 

3:45 - 5:00pm Musical Theater Dance Specialty Class 

5:00 - 5:30pm End of the day recap 

5:30pm Streamline Audition Solos [Spring Workshop Only]

*Lunch is not provided. Dancers can purchase lunch on campus at the Cafeteria or at nearby eating establishments. 

Streamline Audition Opportunity

 For the first time ever, eligible high school Seniors attending the Spring High School Workshop will be allowed to audition for admission and scholarship to the Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Entertainment. This is only for the Spring Workshop. 

Seniors wishing to audition must attend the Dance with the Stars event the day prior (1/26/2017), submit a DVD of various dance techniques, and have a 30-second solo dance performance prepared. See audition page for full details. 

To be eligible to register for the Streamline Audition, auditioners (domestic or international) must have at least one of the following:

  • ACT score of 20 or above
  • SAT score of 950 or above (excluding the writing test) for SAT test taken prior to March 2016
  • SAT score of 1030 or above for SAT test taken March 2016 or after
