Kyle Patterson is a lutenist and guitarist from Oklahoma City. He received his bachelor's degree in classical guitar performance from the Eastman School of Music, where he studied with Dr. Nicholas Goluses. He continued at Eastman to receive a master's in Early Music with an emphasis in historical plucked strings under the direction of Paul O'Dette.
While an undergraduate, Kyle won the Eastman guitar concerto competition, giving him the opportunity to perform as a featured soloist with the Eastman School Symphony Orchestra, in addition to earning the school's prestigious Performer's Certificate. He was named an "Emerging Artist" in the Lute Society of America's Emerging Artist Competition, and performed in the Florence Harkness Memorial Chapel in Boston as part of the Boston Early Music Fringe Festival.
