In order to chase down Helen and defeat the Trojans, Agamemnon is forced to sacrifice his own daughter. In revenge, his wife has a bloody surprise waiting for him as a homecoming from the war. Her son and daughter plot her demise to revenge Agamemnon's murder. This cycle of violence brings forth the frightening goddesses of revenge, the FURIES, and only the intervention of one of the Gods of Olympus can bring peace to the House of Atreus and all of Greece.
This exciting and visceral series of plays launches the new Center of Excellence for Classical Theatre Training (CECTT). The final weekend of performances are the center piece of a major academic conference that will explore the state of contemporary classical theatre training in the United States.
