Additional Steps Taken by OCU

  • Faculty have been given guidelines for dealing with absenteeism, makeup work and other course related issues.

  • Students should not hesitate to communicate with faculty if they become ill.

  • The technology is in place for the university to deliver courses online should the need arise.

  • Hand sanitizing lotion stations will be placed at the main level of building elevators, common restrooms, and other areas as needed.

  • Students and employees have been given instructions to follow if someone becomes ill in class or a studio or a laboratory, in an office, or at a university sponsored event or activity.

  • The student health clinic will provide students and other patients with flu-like symptoms with separate waiting and treatment areas.

  • A meal delivery system is in place for students confined to their rooms during recuperation from the flu.

  • Church Relations/Religious Life will see that all persons who will be serving bread during Communion during any of our services sanitize their hands prior to the handling of the elements.
