probono.net/ok for Legal Aid and Pro Bono Advocates in Oklahoma
Pro Bono Net is a nonprofit organization headquartered in New York City with an affiliate in Oklahoma. The law school serves as a partner with probono.net/ok which is the statewide Web site for legal aid and pro bono advocates in Oklahoma. The mission is to increase access to justice through innovative uses of technology and increased volunteer lawyer participation, and Oklahoma’s probono.net/ok mission is to support Oklahoma advocates participating on pro bono panels throughout Oklahoma.
probono.net/ok lists volunteer opportunities and is also a resource for pro bono lawyers. Law students have the opportunity to help develop web content and resource materials for lawyers on pro bono panels.
Students interested in learning more about pro bono work should contact Professor Laurie Jones, OCU LAW Pro Bono and Public Interest Law Coordinator.
