TUITION AND FINANCIAL AID
Law school is more than the cost of tuition. It is important to take into account all of the costs of attendance -- including room & board, books, transportation, insurance, and personal expenses. Law students are encouraged to prepare a careful budget and practice debt management.

Tuition for the 2007-2008 academic year is $930 per credit hour.

federal loans
US citizens and permanent residents, not in active bankruptcy or in default of prior federal student loans are eligible to apply for federal loans.
Submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon after January 1 as possible. The Title IV institutional code for OCU is 003166. If you have never filed a FAFSA or have lost your Personal Identification Number (pin), apply for a PIN first.
private, supplemental loans
Once you have submitted a FAFSA and been admitted, you will recieve a listing of participating lenders with your financial aid award letter. Each lender has applications available on the web. If approved, loan information will be transmitted back to the Financial Aid Office. The lender will process your loan funds and they will be disbursed by Oklahoma City University.
credit history
Supplemental educational loans are available from a variety of sources. Eligibility for these loans is determined by the lender based upon your credit rating. Credit history is very important; options are extremely limited for students unable to qualify for private loans and your interest rate is based upon your credit history.
working during law school
If you plan to fund law school by working during law school, you may enroll as a part-time student and continue to work full time. However, along with the American Bar Association, OCU LAW recommends that a full-time student not have any outside employment during the first year. After you have completed your first year of law school you will be expected to base the amount of hours of outside employment on the number of credits being taken.
