Access to Wireless for Mac Users
Thanks to Jeremy McCully, who worked long and hard to come up with a way for our Mac laptop users to utilize our wireless network, in February of this year a Mac iBook successfully used our wireless network for the first time. If you are the proud owner of a Mac iBook or PowerBook, you can click here for instructions on setting it up to work on our wireless network. Word Perfect Update
In November 2004 all forty-five lab computers were upgraded from Word Perfect version 10 to Word Perfect version 12. Of course, for you Microsoft fans out there, all of the lab computers still have MS Office 2003 with Word, PowerPoint, and other applications loaded.
Along with the Word Perfect upgrade, the lab computers were slightly reconfigured, and greatly optimized. Students can now logon relatively quickly, the lab printers configure automatically, and the most commonly used legal software tools are now listed as shortcuts on the lab computer's desktop. Most importantly, the lab computers now run faster than they ever have!
