Law Review Description
Oklahoma City University Law Review, published three times a year in Spring, Summer, and Fall, prints scholarly articles by leading academics and practitioners. The articles span the spectrum from practical to theoretical. In keeping with recent trends in legal scholarship, the review seeks to bring insights from the humanities and social sciences to law. In recent years, the Law Review has published symposia on such diverse issues as Native American Law (Spring/Summer 1998), Franchising Law (Fall 1997 and Spring/Summer 1999), and Film and the Law (Spring 1997). It also publishes shorter works on developments in Oklahoma law. The Law Review is edited and managed by a student board of editors in conjunction with a faculty advisor. Student editors frequently publish their writings as Comments on a significant recent court decision and Notes on broader subjects. Membership on the Law Review is extremely competitive and is considered an integral part of the educational curriculum for the second and third year law student members.
