Searching Hints
The online catalog, WorldCat, and EBSCOhost databases all use the Library of Congress Subject Heading system. This system uses “Islam” and “Islamic” to refer to the religion itself (for example Islamic law or Philosophy, Islamic) and “Muslim” and “Muslims” to refer to adherents to the religion (for example Muslim women or Muslims -- Europe)

The Holy Qur'an translated by M.H. Shakir and provided online through the Online Book Initiative

The Canadian Society of Muslims provides a wide range of texts and articles on Islam from a Sunni perspective, including The Mathanawi of Jalalu'ddin Rumi.
The Internet Sacred Text Archive includes several translations of the Qur'an as well as Hadith, some Sufi books, and some other out of copyright books about Islam.
The University of Southern California-MSA Compendium of Muslim Texts inludes the Qur'an, the Hadith, and articles on various aspects of Islam.
The Internet Islamic History Sourcebook provides links to many resources on Islam, incuding excerpts from early primary sources.
