Second Floor Open House
The library will be celebrating National Library Workers Day and the completion of the renovation of the library's second floor (named in honor of James Edwin Alexander, Ph.D.) on Wednesday, April 16th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Please join us!

Library Food Drive begins April 13, 2008
Please bring non-perishable food items to the library to help Skyline Urban Ministries' Food Pantry. If you have outstanding library fines or fees will, we will forgive $5.00 of fines for each item donated.

A new Copyright Policy for Oklahoma City University was approved by Academic Council on November 14, 2007.
Philosopher's Index Trial
Philosopher's Index Trial available. (Produced by the Philosopher's Information Center, it is a current and comprehensive bibliographic database covering scholarly research in all major fields of philosophy. It is considered the most thorough index of journal literature on the subject, features author-written abstracts covering scholarly research published in journals and books, including contributions to anthologies and book reviews. Philosopher's Index contains research published since 1940 including nearly 570 journals from 43 countries with content representing a variety of languages.)

Back to School Celebration in the Library - August 20-23, 2007
The library has many special events planned to welcome students back in style:
Book sale - The library will continue its tradition of selling excess gift books to students at rock bottom prices. Hardback books are $1.00 each. Paperbacks are 50 cents and magazines are 10 cents each.
Bright Idea Hunt - Library staff members will be hiding prizes throughout the library starting August 19th. In addition to the free stress star or candy, students will find a short note or "bright idea" about a library service.
Check-out treats - Free cookies, crackers, and other goodies will be available to each student who checks out a book between August 20th and August 23rd.
Snow Cones - Library staff members will be serving free snow cones on the library patio Monday through Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
