Tom Love
Board of Advisors

Tom Love is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores, Inc.

Love opened his first store in 1964 and has since developed a chain of interstate travel stops and convenience stores, which operate in most states under the names of “Love’s Travel Stops” and “Love’s Country Stores”. Oklahoma City is the headquarters for Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores, Inc.

Love attended St. John’s University in St. Cloud, Minnesota and the University of Oklahoma. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

In 1991, the “Corporation of the Year” award was presented to Love and Love’s Country Stores, Inc. by the Oklahoma City chapter of Sales and Marketing Executives International. He was inducted into the Sales and Marketing Executives International Academy of Achievement in April 1994. Love was elected to the Oklahoma Commerce and Industry Hall of Honor in 1998. Two years later he was inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame. And in 2002 he was presented the “Distinguished Marketer” award by the Society of Independent Gasoline Marketers of America (SIGMA), that organization’s premier award.

Love has been active in both state and national fuel industry organizations. He served the Oklahoma Oil Marketers Association as president from 1968-69. Nationally, he served as National Oil Jobbers Council senior vice-president in 1973-74 and president in 1975.

Love is involved in community organizations. He is a member of the St. Gregory’s University Board of Trustees, and is the past chairman of the Oklahoma Business Roundtable and also past chairman of the Oklahoma Transportation Commission. Love currently serves on the Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and Co-chairs the TRUST Coalition. TRUST is a project of Oklahomans for Safe Bridges and Roads.

He and his wife Judy have four grown children.
