Elective Business Course: Leadership/Management students may choose any 6000 level business course.

MLA Electives: Leadership/Management students take classes in the other MLA tracks (Mass Communications, Art, Philosophy, Writing, Literature, General Studies).

Outside Electives: Up to 6 hours of graduate coursework may be taken outside the MLA program (e.g. MED, MCJ) with the approval of the MLA Director. These elective courses normally replace MLA elective courses.

Independent Study: Up to 6 hours of graduate coursework may be taken through independent study, with the approval of the MLA Director. See the MLA Director for the official guidelines.

*If students lack the prerequisite for the course, they must take the appropriate foundation class. The credit for that course will not count for the MLA Leadership/Management degree, nor will the grade be computed in the student’s GPA. The students must maintain a 3.0 GPA in the foundation courses. Speakers of other languages entering the program with a TOEFL score of less than 560 or its equivalent must take Essential s in Business English. The credit for that class will not count for the Leadership/Management degree, nor will the grade be computed in the student’s GPA.
