Performing Arts Academy

LEARN GUITAR CORRECTLY

Wednesdays 3:45 (Beginner), 4:45 (Intermediate), 5:45 (Beginner)
Cost $297 ($16.50 p/class)

Classes taught by OCU guitar program coordinator Michael Fresonke. Professor Fresonke received his Master's Degree in Music from the Conservatory of Music at the University of Missouri, Kansas City. He stays busy in the local music scene as a solo guitarist, band leader and song writer.

No audition required. Students may join any time with the requirement of at least one private lesson to assess skills.

FOR AGES 9 AND OLDER?
Supplies required: Guitar - acoustic or electric, music stand, foot stool, electronic tuner. Music is provided.

All classes held at Oklahoma City University. 2051 N. Blackwelder (corner of 24th & Blackwelder)

HIGH SCHOOL THEATER CLASS

Tuesdays 6:30 – 8:30 pm
Cost $300
Fall Classes TBA

15 weeks of classes taught by OCU acting faculty member Paula Dawson. Class will focus on the rehearsal technique, character development, monologue preparation, script analysis and editing, creative dramatics and movement for actors. This is a process based class that will build skills for all levels of performers. The class will culminate with monologues and scenes and parents and friends will be invited to observe.

No audition required for High School students.

ACADEMY YOUTH MUSIC THEATER COMPANY

Thursdays 7 – 9 pm
Cost $350

Fall Classes TBA

This class for children in grades 5 – 8 focuses on the process of skill and educational development each student needs as a young music theater artist including:
• Vocal Production
• Pantomime
• Improvisation
• Rhythmic exercise games
• Terms and language of theater and stage

This class will culminate in a production.

Students are admitted to the class on a first-come first-served basis.
