OVERVIEW
Under the guidance of Dr. David Steffens, OCU’s Percussion Professor and Principal Percussionist for the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, students combine traditional technique and modern styles to reflect today’s musical needs. Students will learn techniques for all percussion instruments and participate in percussion ensemble rehearsals and performances. Whether you are in marching band, symphonic band or your school’s orchestra, you will gain many valuable skills at this pre-college intensive program.
"I just wanted to tell you how much my students enjoyed this percussion camp! I had two 7th grade students attend and they still talk about it. I love that OCU puts this camp on! Thank you! I will continue to encourage students to attend!" MS Band Director from Oklahoma
