Admission to the Bass School of Music

Step #1
Applicants must complete and return the Oklahoma City University Undergraduate, Transfer, or Graduate university application prior to auditioning. Apply for admission to Oklahoma City University either online or by contacting the Undergraduate, Graduate or International Admissions Office. Also contact Student Financial Services for financial aid information.

Step #2
Applicants must request an audition with the Bass School of Music by filling out the audition request form.

2010-2011 National Audition Dates:
Friday, November 19, 2010
Saturday, November 20, 2010
Friday, February 4, 2011
Saturday, February 5, 2011
Friday, March 25, 2011
Saturday, March 26, 2011

Recorded Auditions are accepted until May 1, 2011.

Instrumentalists may make alternate audition arrangements if they cannot attend a national audition date.

ALL applicants must submit an online audition request form, whether auditioning by recording, at a national audition date, or at an alternate instrumental audition.

Step #3
Complete and return your university application prior to auditioning for the Bass School of Music.

Step #4
Prepare for your audition according to
undergraduate or graduate audition requirements posted on the website.

Step #5
Upon acceptance into Oklahoma City University and the Bass School of Music, make an official declaration of your intent to attend OCU as a music major. Return your acceptance contract prior to the deadline stated in the offer letter. Contact the School of Music to enroll in your first semester of classes at Oklahoma City University.

NOTIFICATION OF ADMISSION
You will be notified of the result of your audition into the Bass School of Music within four to six weeks of the audition, provided your Oklahoma City University application is complete. All audition results are sent through US mail. No audition results are given over email or telephone. You are responsible for checking the status of your OCU application with the University's Office of Admissions and completing all components of the application prior to the audition.
