Admissions Checklist: How to Apply
START YOUR OKLAHOMA CITY UNIVERSITY APPLICATION
Applicants must complete and return the Oklahoma City University Undergraduate, Transfer, or Graduate University Application PRIOR to auditioning. Apply for admission to Oklahoma City University on the admissions website using the online application or the Common App. You are responsible for checking the status of your OCU application with the University's Office of Admissions and completing all components of the application prior to the audition.
Students must also complete and submit the FAFSA for your entering academic year. More information about the FAFSA and financial aid can be found here or by calling 405-208-5211.
REQUEST AN AUDITIONAll on campus audition applicants must request an audition with the Bass School of Music by filling out the audition request form. You may request your audition beginning on August 15, 2015 for Fall 2016 consideration. You will not be allowed to perform your audition without a completed application on file.
All applicants must submit an online audition request form for an audition at a national audition date, or at an alternate instrumental audition.
ALL recorded audition applicants must submit a request and digital audition materials through Acceptd.
PREPARE AND PERFORM YOUR AUDITION
NOTIFICATION OF ADMISSION: You will be notified of the result of your live audition into the Bass School of Music within four to six weeks of the audition, provided your Oklahoma City University application is complete. Recorded auditions often take longer than four to six weeks to process. All audition results are sent through email. No audition results are given over the telephone. Please do not call or email our offices asking for Admission results.
DECLARE YOUR INTENTION TO ATTEND
Upon acceptance into Oklahoma City University and the Bass School of Music, make an official declaration of your intent to attend OCU as a music major. Return your acceptance contract prior to the deadline stated in your offer letter.
ENROLL IN YOUR FIRST SEMESTER
You may contact the School of Music after May 1st to enroll in your first semester of classes at Oklahoma City University. The School of Music will begin contacting incoming students with enrollment information beginning in April and May.
