2014-2015 National Audition Dates on the campus of Oklahoma City University
For Fall 2015 Admission:
All students wishing to audition for the Wanda L. Bass School of Music must attend a live audition on the Oklahoma City University campus on one of the following dates:
November 14 and 15, 2014--all students wishing to be considered for transfer in Spring 2015 should audition over this audition weekend.
February 6 and 7, 2015
March 6 and 7, 2015
Students who are unable to attend the live audition dates listed above may submit a recorded audition through Acceptd. Please see additional guidelines for recorded materials under "Recorded Auditions" at the bottom of this page.
Instrumentalists may request an alternate date, live audition when submitting an audition request form. Alternate date auditions will be scheduled directly with each instrumental area professor based on mutual availability.

All National Live Audition Weekends have passed for the 2013-2014 school year. We are still accepting recorded and alternate date auditions for graduate and undergraduate instrumental applicants. Instrumentalists may request an alternate date live audition by submitting an audition request form. Alternate date auditions will be scheduled directly with each instrumental area professor based on mutual availability.

Undergraduate Music Audition Requirements
Undergraduate instrumental candidates, including Performance, Education, Composition, Music Business, and Church Music, are encouraged to audition during one of the three national audition weekends, if possible. Instrumentalists who are unable to attend a national audition weekend may audition by appointment or submit a recording through Acceptd. Undergraduate voice candidates, including Performance, Music Theater, Education, Composition, Music Business, and Church Music, who wish to apply for admission to the Bass School of Music must schedule an audition on the Oklahoma City University campus during one of the three national audition weekends or submit a recording through Acceptd. Applicants must complete and return the Oklahoma City University Undergraduate, Transfer or Graduate university application prior to auditioning. Please apply for admission to Oklahoma City University online. Students may also contact Student Financial Services for financial aid information, 405-208-5211.

All live audition applicants must request an audition with the Bass School of Music by filling out the audition request form.
Please do NOT make travel arrangements until you have received a confirmed audition time from the Bass School of Music (via phone and email) after submitting the audition request. Musical Theater applicants should select the VOCAL option on the audition request form.
All recorded audition candidates are required to digitally submit their audition request and materials through Acceptd, our online digital audition submission portal. Digital submissions will be accepted beginning September 1, 2014 with a deadline of April 15, 2015 for all graduate candidates and a deadline of May 1, 2015 for all Undergraduate applicants. Digital audition submissions WILL NOT be accepted in any other format, including but not limited to DVD, CD, or online link.
Auditions for Fall 2015 admission will not be considered after May 1, 2015.
In addition to an application and the audition request form, transfer students may be asked to submit one or two recommendation letters and a statement of purpose. These can be submitted to the school of music prior to or at the time of audition.
You will be notified of the result of your live audition into the Bass School of Music typically within four weeks of the audition, provided your Oklahoma City University application is complete. Recorded audition results often take four to six weeks to process, though certain auditions may take longer. Audition scores or comments are confidential and will not be released. All audition decisions are sent to the provided email address.
Please do not call or email our offices asking for admission or audition results. No audition results are given via telephone. You are responsible for checking the status of your OCU application with the University's Office of Admissions and completing all components of the application prior to the audition.
Applicants interested in any of our programs must audition for admission and talent award consideration. Applicants choosing to submit a digital audition or auditioning live will be considered for admission and talent award based solely on audition results.
All applicants must submit the Oklahoma City University application online prior to submitting audition materials. Applicants do not have to be admitted prior to auditioning, but do have to have a completed application on file.
