Offsite Interlochen Auditions will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014 from 1pm to 5pm. Please request a recorded audition if you plan to participate in these auditions and email Amy McQuade directly with your time preference at email@example.com.

Admission to the University
Applicants must complete and return the Oklahoma City University Undergraduate, Transfer, or Graduate university application prior to auditioning. Apply for admission to Oklahoma City University either online or by contacting the Undergraduate, Graduate or International Admissions Office. Also contact Student Financial Services for financial aid information.
Audition Request Form
Applicants must request an audition with the Bass School of Music by filling out the audition request form. ALL prospective music majors must audition for admission and complete the audition request form online.
Please do NOT make travel arrangements until you have received a confirmed audition time from the Bass School of Music (via phone and email) after submitting the audition request. Musical Theater applicants should select the VOCAL button on the audition request form.
Auditions for Fall 2014 admission will not be considered after May 1, 2014.
In addition to an application and the audition request form, transfer students may be asked to submit one or two recommendation letters and a statement of purpose. These can be submitted to the school of music prior to or at the time of audition.
Notification of Admission
You will be notified of the result of your live audition into the Bass School of Music typically within four weeks of the audition, provided your Oklahoma City University application is complete. Recorded audition results often take four to six weeks to process, though certain auditions may take longer. Audition scores or comments are confidential and will not be released. All audition decisions are sent to the provided email address.
Please do not call or email our offices asking for admission or audition results. No audition results are given via telephone. You are responsible for checking the status of your OCU application with the University's Office of Admissions and completing all components of the application prior to the audition.
On-campus auditions are encouraged whenever possible. Recorded auditions will NOT be reviewed if the applicant has not applied for admission to Oklahoma City University and completed the Bass School of Music audition request form.
All audition requirements are to be followed for recorded auditions, according to the guidelines above.
Vimeo or YouTube links are required for recorded audition submissions. If you choose to use YouTube, your video must be an UNLISTED video. This means that only those with the link can view the video, and this privacy setting can be selected as you upload the video. If you choose to use Vimeo, please select password protection for your video and send that password to us when you submit your audition links. DVDs or CDs are allowed only for the portfolio portion for applicants in Composition. No VHS tapes and no mini disks will be reviewed.
Recordings must be made within the last nine months. Applicants should review the recording in its entirety ensuring that it is clear and easily audible.
Please send all audition links to firstname.lastname@example.org with RECORDED AUDITION in the subject line, followed by the applicant's name and contact information, instrument/voice, degree of interest, a list works performed, and the YouTube or Vimeo links in the body of the email.
For Music Theater and/or Vocal Performance applicants, make sure that we have a full-body shot of you at all times so that we can see your performance throughout the pieces. The only prop that you are allowed to utilize in monologues is one chair. Please also attach a headshot and resume to your audition email.
For the Music Theater Dance Evaluation, we will provide you with a link to a combination to be learned and performed as part of your audition video link submissions.
Recordings made using microphones other than that on your video recording device will not be reviewed. Should the voice faculty suspect that a recording has been pitch-altered or has had any special effects added, the student will be asked to submit a new audition.
Undergraduate recordings must be received by May 1, 2014.
Graduate recordings must be received by April 15, 2014.
