CHORAL PROGRAM

Choruses in the Bass School of Music provide a wide variety of performance opportunities for singers within the Bass School of Music and throughout the university community upon completion of a successful audition. Choruses sing in concerts on campus in a cappella, accompanied or collaborative concerts with other university ensembles, with the Oklahoma Philharmonic, for special events in the community and for music conventions.

AD ASTRA: Named for a significant Oklahoma foundation, Ad Astra ("To the Stars") is the women’s chorus selected from undergraduates and graduates, by audition, at OCU. The ensemble performs a wide variety of select literature for female voices and, in 2008, was the first OCU chorus designated a state honor choir by the Oklahoma Music Educators Association.
