Oklahoma City University Homecoming and Carnival This Weekend
Homecoming events for Oklahoma City University begin Friday, Nov. 6, with the dedication of the Steve and Suzan Knight Strength and Conditioning Facility at 4 p.m., McKinley Avenue and N.W. 28th Street, and a lip sync contest at 8 p.m. in the Henry J. Freede Wellness & Activity Center at N.W. 27th Street and Florida Avenue. The Marianne Vannatta Race with the Stars begins at 8 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, near the Freede Center. There will be a pre-game carnival from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the Quad Lawn outside of the Tom and Brenda McDaniel University Center. The OCU Stars womenís basketball game starts at 1 p.m. and the menís game starts at 3 p.m. The Distinguished Alumni Awards Dinner and Athletic Hall of Fame ceremony will conclude Homecoming weekend with a reception at 6 p.m. and awards ceremony at 7 p.m. in the Great Hall of the University Center.
