Powerful Prose Book Review Series Explores American History, Law

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University and Full Circle Bookstore’s Powerful Prose book review series continues with a discussion of Quanah Parker on Oct. 24 and an in-depth look at a wrongful conviction case Nov. 13.

OCU President Robert Henry will review “Empire of the Summer Moon: Quanah Parker and the Rise and Fall of the Comanches, the Most Powerful Indian Tribe in American History,” by S.C. Gwynne at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 24 at Full Circle Bookstore in 50 Penn Place.

OCU Law Professor Art LeFrancois will present “Mainifest Injustice: The True Story of a Convicted Murderer and the Lawyers Who Fought for his Freedom” by Pulitzer Prize winning author Barry Siegel at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 13 at the bookstore.

“Powerful Prose: Great Ideas and the Literature that Advances Them” is a monthly series led by Henry and Oklahoma City University professors. All presentations are free to the public.
