OCU Expands Hall of Queens

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University will add its 56th state pageant title holder July 15 to the Hall of Queens in the Kirkpatrick Fine Arts Center. The event will honor Miss Oklahoma 2013 Kelsey Griswold whose portrait will be added to the hall alongside 24 previous Miss Oklahomas, other statewide winners and former Miss Americas Jane Jayroe Gamble, Susan Powell and Shawntel Smith Wuerch.

Griswold, a senior acting major at Oklahoma City University, was named second runner-up during the 2014 Miss America Pageant. She also captured the spotlight as the preliminary winner of the lifestyle and fitness category.

Oklahoma City University boasts more Miss Americas than any university per-capita. Its long line of state pageant winners began in 1956 with Miss Oklahoma LaDonna Kramer Meinders.
