Nursing Scholarship Program at DRH Expands

Duncan Regional Hospital

The Duncan Regional Hospital scholarship program has been expanded to cover full tuition for qualified nursing student candidates in its joint program with Oklahoma City University in Duncan.

Up to 20 scholarships for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program are available starting with the fall 2019 semester. An admissions counselor will be at Duncan Regional Hospital (DRH) for one-on-one appointments with interested applicants on March 25 and 28. Registration is available online at okcu.edu/duncan.

The OCU-DRH partnership program began in 2016, where qualified students can complete their nursing degrees in two years. The hospital provides tuition expenses for students who agree to work at DRH for at least three years following graduation.

A member of the OCU faculty resides in Duncan to teach classes and labs. The program also utilizes an innovative Polycom Communications online platform so that students in Duncan can participate and interact with classes in Oklahoma City in real time. For more information, visit the program’s page on the OCU Kramer School of Nursing website at okcu.edu/nursing.
