Professor Manning began her nursing career in 1986 with an Associate in Science Degree and later earned a bachelor’s degree from Auburn University in Montgomery, Alabama. Her master’s degree in adult health and nursing education is from Troy University in Troy, Alabama. She came to OCU from the panhandle of Florida where she had been teaching in an associate degree nursing program; prior to that she taught in an LPN program in southeastern Alabama. She became a member of the OCU Faculty Teaching Academy in the 2010-2011 academic year. Professor Manning’s clinical expertise is primarily in emergency nursing augmented by experience as a labor and delivery nurse, critical care unit nurse, and nursing supervisor.
