Kramer School of Nursing
Nursing Education Forum

For Nurse Educators

Nursing Education Forum is the professional journal of the Kramer School of Nursing. Its purpose is to disseminate information to nursing educators that promotes research and evidence based practices; provides a medium through which ideas, experiences, successes, failures, book reviews, innovations, news, opinions, and other communiqués about nursing education can be shared; and supports the scholarship of teaching.

As Oklahoma’s first “refereed” (blind peer reviewed) nursing publication, Nursing Education Forum is a captivating way to communicate the best practices for educating nurses. Authors of all types are encouraged to submit manuscripts because a broad mix of features will enhance the journal’s usefulness to nursing educators. Tips from experts, stories about instructional methods that succeeded or failed, research articles, brief reports of theses and dissertations related to nursing education, announcements about opportunities to collaborate or participate, historical stories—whatever you believe would be worthwhile for our readers is encouraged.

Nursing Education Forum exemplifies the principle of communicating effectively at the level of the learner/reader. By targeting the novice as well as the expert, the new graduate student and the professor, and the beginning staff educator and the certified nurse educator, articles in the Forum are written in a language that can be understood by everyone in the field.

If you would like to serve on the panel of reviewers to evaluate manuscripts, send an email to the Editor-in-Chief (see link below) listing the areas of expertise you offer, and attach a full CV. Reviewers are acknowledged periodically in NEF, but receive no compensation for their time.
