DEGREE PROGRAMS AND ACCREDITATION

Oklahoma City University's Kramer School of Nursing offers the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science of Nursing (MSN) through several programs, summarized below. For more information, click on the specific program in the left-hand column under "Program Information."

  • The Traditional BSN is a standard four-year undergraduate degree leading into the nursing profession, whether you are a traditional student or not! Upon completion students are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) to begin work as RNs.

  • RN-to-BSN is an opportunity for Registered Nurses to complete the BSN degree in as little as nine months through nursing classes that meet just one half day a week.

  • Bachelor’s-to-BSN is an accelerated 16-month program for people who already have bachelor’s degrees in other fields. Upon completion students are eligible to apply to take the NCLEX to begin work as RNs.

  • Master of Science in Nursing, Nursing Education Track, is a 33 credit hour graduate program preparing nurses to become faculty or educators in health care organizations.

  • Master of Science in Nursing, Nursing Administration Track, is a 33 credit hour graduate program preparing nurses to become executives in health care organizations. We also offer the state's only MSN/MBA option.

  • These quality baccalaureate and master's degree programs are fully accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, 61 Broadway - 33rd Floor, New York, NY 10006, 1-800-669-1656 (Ext. 153), or www.nlnac.org.

Kramer School of Nursing is also approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing to offer programs leading to licensure as a Registered Nurse. Graduates who have earned the Bachelor of Science in Nursing are eligible to apply for the NCLEX-RN required to become licensed as Registered Nurses.
