Bachelor’s-to-BSN CFO-FMI Scholarships:
Scholarships from an Anonymous Donor are available to any student in the Bachelor’s-to-BSN program with a 3.25 or higher cumulative GPA who commits to working full time as an RN in a hospital in Oklahoma for at least two years after graduation. Employment verification will be required annually. Recipients will be required to reimburse KSN fully if they do not comply. To apply, notify the Dean in writing at least one month before the semester in which you want to start receiving the scholarship, stating your commitment to meeting this requirement. The letter can be mailed, delivered, or sent as an email to: Dean, Kramer School of Nursing, Oklahoma City University, 2501 N. Blackwelder, Oklahoma City, OK 73106, or mwilliamson@okcu.edu.
The CFO-FMI scholarship will not cover all expenses, so you will need additional funding. The amount available each semester is divided equally by the number of students who qualify. Typically each student receives around $1,500-$2,500 per semester that can be applied only to the package rate price.
When scholarships funds are awarded, you will be included if your cumulative GPA at entrance into the program is at least 3.25 and you submitted the commitment letter. You will receive notice of the decision and amount before classes begin (probably at orientation in January).
If your GPA is not high enough, you will automatically be reconsidered each semester thereafter, in case your GPA on OCU courses rises to 3.25 later, since we consider only those courses once you begin. If your initial GPA is high enough and you continue to earn an OCU cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher, the scholarship will be renewed automatically each semester. If your OCU GPA drops below 3.25, you will receive no further funds from that point forward, but are still obligated to fulfill the work requirements after graduation.
