Kinesiology and Exercise Studies
EXERCISE SCIENCE
Exercise Science is a major with a broad application. This field can serve as preparation for several careers and educational endeavors. These include pre-physical therapy, pre-occupational therapy, pre-athletic training, cardiac rehabilitation, personal training, strength and conditioning specialist, fitness and wellness management, sport nutrition, health promotion, and several other related areas including graduate school. Our curriculum has been designed to meet the exercise science standards set by the National Association of Sport and Physical Education. The curriculum is also based on guidelines for educational preparation for fitness and personal trainer certifications by the American College of Sports Medicine and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. These two organizations offer the most prestigious and complete certification programs in the fitness industry.
