Math Professor Publishes Paper

Dr. Ismail Kombe has recently published a paper, “Nonlinear parabolic partial differential equations for Baouendi-Grushin operator, in the Mathematische Nachrichten.

Math Paper Published in Transactions of the American Mathematical Society

Math Professor Ismail Kombe has two papers that have been accepted for publication in professional journals. The world-renowned Transactions of the American Mathematical Society will published “Improved Hardy and Rellich Inequalities on Riemannian Manifolds.” Positivity will publish “Gaussian Estimates and Instantaneous Blowup.”

Dr. Ismail Kombe attended the international conference, The International Conference on Differential Equations and Dynamical Systems, held at University of Texas at Pan American on December 16-18, 2006. He gave a talk at the meeting entitled “The Hardy inequality and Nonlinear parabolic equations on Carnot groups”.

Math Professor Presents at Conferences

Ismail Kombe recently attended and presented at the following two international conferences over the summer.

1) 7th AIMS(American Institute of Mathematics) International Conference on Dynamical Systems, Differential Equations and Applications held at The University of Texas at Arlington on May 18 - 21, 2008.

Kombe's presentation was entitled "The Hardy inequality and p-Laplace heat equation with singular potential on Carnot groups "

2) WCNA 2008 (World Congress of Nonlinear Analysts) held at Orlando, FL on July 2-9, 2008.

Kombe's two presentations were entitled "Improved Hardy and Rellich Inequalities on Riemannian Manifolds.” (45 min talk) and "p-Laplace heat equation with singular potentials on Carnot groups" (45 min talk).

Ismail Kombe, was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor, effective fall 2007.
