CONTACT INFORMATION
Dr. Klaus Rossberg is the chairperson of the Department. His office is in room LO113. You can reach him by telephone at (405)208-5222, or by e-mail at krossberg@okcu.edu. He did all of his undergraduate and most of his graduate work in Germany and received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Arizona. He teaches mainly theoretical physics, astronomy and general education courses. His research interests are relativity and quantum field theory. He has published a textbook for undergraduates in the area of mechanics. Away from the classroom, Dr. Rossberg's interests expand into the fields of music, philosophy and travel. He also enjoys animals, especially cats.
Dr. Saeed Shadfar is responsible for the laboratories. His office is in room LO112. You can reach him by telephone at (405)208-5135, or by e-mail at sshadfar@okcu.edu. He studied in Iran, at the University of Michigan and received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Oklahoma. He teaches mainly experimental physics and laboratory courses. Dr. Shadfar has done research in atomic physics and is currently performing experiments in the are of Biophysics. His external interests include poetry and an affinity for doves.
