"A major in the OCU Political Science Department enriched my undergraduate experience. It offered a wealth of opportunities to establish oneself in the career world through internships and interviews with leaders in the community. Classroom experience required involvement in lectures and developed critical thinking skills that are necessary in today's job place and in graduate coursework. The extra curricular activities the Department offered, such as Oklahoma Intercollegiate Legislature and the Pre-law club allowed a place to practice public speaking and collaboration

We started from writing a bill in class to passing it through the legislature in a statewide collegiate mock up of the legislature at the Capital.
