Each Thursday at 1:00 p.m. during the academic year, the campus community gathers for a service of worship led by our University Chaplains and students. These 40-minute services vary weekly in style, theme and content and feature many of our talented musicians with John Edwards providing inspirational leadership from the organ. Each week the message is brought by a distinguished voice from our community—local pastors of various denominational backgrounds, OCU and St. Paul’s faculty, nationally renowned theologians, and graduating students. Each service is followed by an Open Forum conversation with the speaker for the day downstairs in Watson Lounge from 1:45-2:30. Visitors from outside the campus community are always welcome and encouraged to attend.
Each Monday night at 8:30pm during the academic year the community is also invited to gather for a service of worship led by the Director of Religious Life, students, and our Evensong Band. This contemporary style service includes praise, prayer, Scripture, sermons, and Holy Communion each week. It is an interactive worship experience with Pizza following the service. Mission opportunities take place including a toy drive, food drive, and learning about how to be involved with outreach programs such as Big Brothers Big Sisters and Project Transformation. Additionally, there is a new offering opportunity every month! Everyone is invited.
