INTERNATIONAL FRIENDS
Oklahoma City University welcomes students from many different parts of the globe. The International Friends Program matches one of these students with volunteers from the university and local communities who agree to be a friend to them over the academic year through the following ways:
- Each month, invite your student to share a meal with you or to participate in one of your activities. This could be a meal in your home or in a restaurant, attending such events as festivals or concerts, or including them in your family celebrations.
- Each week, stay in touch with your student through a phone call, email, or card.
- Recognize the student’s birthday and other important dates.
 Matches are usually made at the beginning of the academic year in the fall but our office would be happy to answer your questions anytime.
